On November 14th we participated in the Blue Eco Forum 2019, a day on the integration of the ecosystem approach towards sustainable coastal-maritime tourism in the Mediterranean Sea.

The event, framed within the Blue Tourism Project, took place at the Poblenou Campus of the Pompeu i Fabra University, and was atended by participants from more than 20 different organizations, and one of them was HIDRIA.

Debates on blue tourism and the environment in the Mediterranean, and on the Barcelona Convention; a workshop to collectively elaborate a diagnosis of the situation and possibilities of improving the ecosystem approach in coastal and maritime tourism in the Mediterranean; the elaboration of a collective map of instruments and key actions to implement the ecosystem approach in coastal and maritime tourism and a final colloquium were the activities that were developed throughout the day.

We are very grateful to Eco-union for inviting us to be part of this event where we learned so much.
