SUMMARY: The purpose of this consultancy is to assist the Government of Nepal in preparing innovative and detailed destination visions and investment plans (DVIPS). From this formulation the goal was to attract new investment to work as catalyst and increase the value generated per visitor.
The selected priority destinations were:
- Annapurna Conservation Area and Gateway city of Pokhara
- Manaslu Conservation area and Gateway city of Gorkha;
- Bardiya and Banke National Parks, Khrisnasaar as buffer zone and Nepalgunj as Gateway city.
