TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE TOURISM INVESTMENT PLAN IN THE WEST REGION OF PARANA – PARAGUAY Client: Organization of IberoAmerican States (OEI) Funding: Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) Dates: November 2017 – November 2018 SUMMARY:   Preparation of a Tourism Investment Plan as a framework to implement an orderly and sustainable action of tourism development in the West Paraná region. The fundamental goal was the integration of biodiversity and ecosystem services (natural capital) in the planning and management of river tourism in the Iguazú Lake and Monday River basins until its mouth in the Paraná River. PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR ELABORATION OF ADJARA PROTECTED AREAS SYSTEM SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY AND PLAN OF ACTION – GEORGIA CLIENT: United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Dates: September 2015 – September 2016 SUMMARY: This Project is part of the UNDP/GEF Project “Expansion and Improved Management Effectiveness of the Achara Region’s Protected Areas”, that seeks to enhance the management effectiveness, bio-geographical coverage and connectivity of Protected Areas of the Achara Autonomous Region of Georgia. The outputs elaborated for this Project were the following bellow: An overall Achara PA system Sustainable Tourism Strategy and Action Plan. Individual Tourism Plans for Kintrishi, Mtirala and Machakhela Protected Areas. A Baseline Situation and Analysis Report of the existing tourism situation, providing relevant information of the existing tourism attractions and resources and analysing in detail the potential business opportunities for Ecotourism development, working together with private and public stakeholders through a series of meetings and workshops hold in Batumi and Tbilisi.

PREVIOUS STUDIES AND WORK TO DESIGN AND WRITE THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OF A NEW OCEANARIUM IN SALVADOR DE BAHÍA CITY – BRAZIL CLIENT: Bahía Tourism ’s Secretary (Brazil) Dates: January 2013 – March 2016 SUMMARY: HIDRIA acts as a project leader with two more partners: BLUEDISPLAYS, Irish company specialized in aquariums design and VALLADARES PRADO Group, a Brazilian company of architects and engineers. The project intends to accomplish all necessary studies to evaluate the possibility of building a large tourist quipment, including: location and geo-marketing studies to find the best location for this structure in the complex network of urban city of Salvador, Tourism Master Plan, Viability and integrated Sustainability Studies, Modelo Management and Business Model and executive projects. Vertebration of the Product Club “Gran Ruta Insular de Experiencia Volcánica”

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE ENTREPRENEURIAL BUSINESS VERTEBRATION OF A TOURISM PRODUCT CLUB “GREAT ROUTE OF THE VOLCANIC EXPERIENCE” ON TENERIFE ISLAND: 1st and 2nd Phase – SPAIN Client: Tenerife Tourism Board Dates:  2012 – 2013 SUMMARY: Assistance to 145 public and private entities for two years through several workshops and participative processes until their inclusion into the Tourism Product Club. During this process, individual assessment reports were elaborated for each enterprise involved and we carried out a technical audit with the following methodological strategy: Identification visit: verification if the enterprises comply with a series of compulsory and supplementary criteria, and elaboration of improvement recommendations. Thematic visit: advising the entrepreneurs for the creation of tourist services related to the “Volcanic Experience”. Evaluation Visit: certification of the improvements made and the compliance with the criteria and the “volcanic theme” implementation.
